They say a picture is worth one thousand words, so for all of you who aren't too sure how the Thellid Calendar works, here is a graphical representation of the whole year. Start at the top and go around clockwise. You can clearly see how the year proceeds from the solstice on Old Year's Day (which has no month), to New Year's Day on Alvakku the 1st, through all 13 equal length months in turn, back to Old Year's Day again, with a Leap Day, (also without a month), thrown in 1 year in 4.
