The Transcendent Plane

The Transcendent Plane

Mario Martinez: Transcendental Disaster (part)

What Lieth Beyond?

The main thrust of the Doctrine Of Infinite Dimensions is that: Our consciousness is limited to infinite subsets of infinite dimensions and we are perforce required to live out each of those infinite lives; each related to each other but different. No life is easy or without pain and there is no caring omnipotent deity to solve our problems so we must deal with them ourselves in every one of those lives. That is the essence of ID, HOWEVER, as an escape from the tyranny of life I created The Transcendent Plane.

The Transcendent Plane is NOT intended to be sole goal of ID. If I had wanted that I would have ditched the infinite dimensions and gone straight there! If you think about it you will see that without the infinite dimensions to underpin it there can be no Transcendent Plane. The whole point of the Transcendent Plane is that it is the realm of INFINITE beings: "Ura", (us in our totality), where the rules of the finite do not apply. You cannot go there if you are not infinite and we are certainly not infinite in this Shoku. You can only earn your infinite status by living infinite lives in infinite Shoka!

People may interpret the Transcendent Plane as "Heaven" in some conventional religious sense and to some extent that is a valid interpolation, HOWEVER, it must be stressed that it is the realm of the INFINITE, our limited aga in Orithia have no way to comprehend ourselves in our totality as we are only an infinitely small part of that. It is dangerous to guess at what the Transcendent Plane might be like and therefore I have deliberately NOT attempted to do that. All I will say is that it is a place of infinite power and wisdom where we are all perfect, safe and free of suffering.

Yes, this sounds like the traditional Christian Heaven, but there is no God or boss running the show, just a large number of immortal, infinite beings communing with each other in ways that we cannot understand and transcending the hell out of the Universe.

Excelsior!

Music: John Hughes "Calon Lan", ~1890
Words: Warren Mars, 2020

Past the confines of this Shoku,
Outside of space, outside of time,
Lies the realm of the transcendent,
Filled with Ura in their prime.

[chorus]
Perfect me and perfect you,
Perfect thought and perfect style,
Perfect safety and assurance,
Perfect joy and perfect peace.

In this land of the eternal,
Where restrictions hold no strings,
We partake without reserve in
The communion of all things.

(chorus)

When this life becomes too painful,
When we need a place to hide,
We return to whence we started,
To the dreamland that's inside.

(chorus)

The vocal score with chords is provided here.
I have also provided an SATB arrangement for choirs here.

Finally, I have provided a recording of my computer synthesizer playing the SATB arrangement. There is no singing and the synthesizer is very ordinary. Nevertheless the parts are all there and one can sing along with it or use it get an idea of how it should sound with your choir.
